Please note: This 4-digit number is the only Aadhaar Helpline Toll Free Number provided by the UIDAI. A commonly circulated number, 18003001947, is NOT a valid number for Aadhaar.

Aadhaar Grievances: How To File a Complaint?
If you have any grievance related to your Aadhaar card, you can register the same with the UIDAI online, apart from calling the Aadhaar customer care number of 1947. Follow the steps given below to register your Aadhaar grievance online:
- Go to UIDAI official website
- Click on “Contact & Support”
- Select the “File a Complaint” option under the “Grievance Redressal Mechanism”
- Enter the details asked in the form that will open next on the screen
- Click on Submit to complete the process
Note: If your Aadhaar is not generated, you will have to mandatorily provide Enrollment ID.
