Axis Bank Timings in Lockdown
In lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Axis Bank had to change its business hours. As per the government guidelines, the bank was operational from 10AM to 2PM on all working days. However, these timings may have varied from branch to branch. In order to continue social distancing, the bank worked at a reduced capacity of no more than 50% and the public was discouraged from visiting branches as much as possible.
Axis Bank Timings Post Lockdown
Post lockdown, in 2023, Axis Bank, like other banks in India, resumed its usual banking hours. The bank is operational from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM for the public (may be different in some regions).
Axis Bank Lunch Timings
While most of the Axis branches observe lunch breaks around 1-2PM, it’s a common practice among the Axis Bank employees to work in batches, even during lunch hours. It is to ensure smooth delivery of banking services to its customers.

Axis Bank, on every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of every month, opens as per the usual business hours, i.e., 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. However, every2nd and 4th Saturday, as per the RBI rules, the bank remains closed.
Axis Bank NEFT Timings
NEFT transactions using your Axis Bank account can be done online at any time of the day and any day of the year, i.e. 24x7x365.
However, if someone does not have access to the internet or a smartphone, they may simply visit a nearby Axis Bank branch between 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM and submit a form for NEFT transaction offline at the bank.
Axis Bank RTGS Timings
With effect from 14th Dec. 2020, all RTGS transactions can be performed anytime, i.e. 24×7. This timeline is approved by the RBI and thus allows customers to transfer funds using RTGS round the clock.
This includes 2nd and 4th Saturdays and all bank holidays.
Axis Bank IMPS Timings
Just like NEFT and RTGS, Axis Bank IMPS timings are also round the clock, i.e. customers can transfer funds using the IMPS mode, any time of the day. This includes all holidays as well.
Axis Bank UPI Timings
UPI or the Unified Payment System was introduced to provide an easier and quicker payment option for retail and corporate transactions alike. Therefore, there is no off-time for UPI payments.
One can send or receive funds via UPI at any point in a day, including holidays.
