HDFC NEFT Limit
The maximum amount of funds that can be transferred in a day through HDFC NEFT varies depending on the time and day of the transaction. HDFC has designed these limits in accordance with the HDFC bank timings.
HDFC NEFT limit – Online Transactions
On RBI working days between 7 AM and 7 PM, the maximum amount of funds that can be transferred is determined by the customer’s TPT limit, with a maximum limit of Rs 50 lakhs.
However, from 7pm to 7am on working days and all holidays, including 2nd and 4th Saturdays and Sundays, the maximum amount that can be transferred per transaction is Rs 2 lakhs, subject to the TPT limit, with multiples of Rs 2 lakhs available up to the customer’s chosen TPT limit, and again, a maximum overall limit of Rs 50 lakhs.
HDFC NEFT limit – At the Branch Transactions
That said, it is noteworthy that when you choose to do your NEFT transaction at an HDFC branch, there are no restrictions to the amount that can be transacted. It can be an amount greater than Rs 50 lakhs, unlike the online mode.

HDFC NEFT Limit – For new beneficiary
To ensure security, HDFC bank limits the transfer of funds to a newly added beneficiary to Rs 50,000 or less (in full or parts) during the first 24 hours after adding the beneficiary.
HDFC NEFT limit – for cash transfers
With this, there’s an exception to it. For customer who want to use HDFC NEFT service by submitting cash, RBI has set a ceiling amount of Rs 50,000 per transaction. This is also applicable for when you don’t have a bank account and wish to use the NEFT option.

The following are the NEFT charges by HDFC Bank:
- Transfer amount up to Rs 1 lakh: Rs 2
- Transfer amount above Rs 1 lakh: Rs 10
