HDFC RTGS Charges
HDFC RTGS charges for transactions done at the branch are fixed at Rs 15 by the bank, plus the applicable GST. When done online, the bank does not charge any fee.
HDFC RTGS Limit
If you wish to use the HFC RTGS services, the transaction amount should be Rs 2 lakhs minimum. For any amount less than that, you may choose the HDFC NEFT facility.
That said, you can make RTGS transactions though branch at no upper ceiling. But if you choose the online route, this limit is set at Rs 50 lakhs per day. (Your personal HDFC RTGS limit for online transaction depends on your TPT limit).

Customers having a bank account in the HDFC Bank can use the HDFC RTGS facility online throughout the day and night as well. You may use the HDFC netbanking or the mobile banking services for RTGS transactions. That said, there is a small window starting from 11:30 PM to 00:30 AM during which RTGS services are on a halt. It’s because this is a cut-off period in which no transactions are processed.
If you wish to do the HDFC RTGS transaction at the branch, please make sure to check the HDFC bank timings beforehand.
How to do HDFC RTGS Fund Transfer?
Follow the below-mentioned steps for HDFC RTGS transfers via netbanking:
- Go to HDFC Bank website
- Click on Login > Netbanking
- Enter your HDFC netbanking login credentials
- Click on Funds Transfer

- Select Transfer to Other Bank (RTGS) option
- Enter your account, beneficiary account, transfer amount & description
- Click on I accept Terms and Conditions (read beforehand)
- Click on Continue
Alternatively, you can go to your nearby HDFC branch and fill out the HDFC RTGS form and submit the same at the branch.
