About NEFT
The full form of NEFT is National Electronics Fund Transfer. As the name suggests, this is an electronically processed mode of transfer which is overlooked by the Reserve Bank of India, thus carrying the highest level of security.
NEFT can be done using the various modes like internet banking, mobile banking, at-the-branch, ATMs and USSD. While the first two options are digital and can be processed from anywhere, the next two require you to physically visit your branch or bank ATM.
The last option of USSD is the most economical as it doesn’t require either the internet connection nor the pain of going physically anywhere. All you need is a basic phone (a smartphone would suffice just fine) and your mobile number linked to your bank account.
