State Bank of India (SBI) is a public sector bank and the largest bank in India, with over 22,000 branches across the country. It offers a wide range of banking services, including personal banking, corporate banking, and international banking, with a global presence in over 32 countries.
One of the many ways to transfer funds from your SBI account to another bank’s account is NEFT. In this post, we are sharing details regarding SBI NEFT limit, i.e. the minimum and maximum amount that can be transferred using the SBI NEFT, online and at-the-bank, both.

Please note that you can transfer funds via SBI NEFT within the bank and to other bank’s accounts as well. SBI NEFT limit and SBI NEFT charges are the same in both the scenarios.

The following are the NEFT charges by the State Bank of India:
- Transfer amount up to Rs 1 lakh: Rs 2
- Transfer amount above Rs 1 lakh: Rs 10
(plus taxes as per the applicable GST rates)

SBI NEFT Limit: FAQs
Yes. If the beneficiary’s bank is unable to credit the beneficiary’s account for any reason, the former will return the money to the remitting bank within 1 hour. Once the amount is received by the remitting bank, it is credited to the remitters account by the branch concerned.
When doing it at the bank, SBI NEFT request has to be a minimum of Re 1. For online transaction, there’s no limit.
SBI NEFT online can be done for a maximum of Rs 10 lakhs.
SBI NEFT charges range from Rs 2/ Rs 4/ Rs 12/ Rs 20 (plus GST) for transactions of Rs 10,000/ above Rs 10,000 and up to Rs 1 lakh/ Above Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 2 lakhs/ Above Rs 2 lakhs, respectively.
