IMPORTANT Please note that Form 19 can only be filed online. If you want to opt for the offline mode, you need to fill and submit Composite Claim Form which is basically a combined form for: 1.) PF final settlement equivalent to Form 19, 2.) Pension withdrawal benefits, equivalent for Form 10C, and 3.) Advance on PF (partial withdrawal from PF account, equivalent to Form 31). |
Who can claim final settlement of EPF account?
EPF claim form 19 can be filed by an EPF member:
- who has left their job, or
- upon retirement
AND
- 2 months have passed since
How to Submit Form 19 Online?
Follow the steps mentioned below to submit the EPFO Form 19 and settle your EPF account:
Step 1: Log into EPFO member portal using your UAN and Password.

Step 2: Click on “Online Services” and select “CLAIM (Form 31, 19, 10C & 10D)”. (refer the image above)
Step 3: Fill in your bank account number and get it verified.
Step 4: Give the undertaking (Certificate of Understanding) as it appears on your screen and then go ahead with “Online Claim”.
Step 5: Select “Only PF Withdrawal (Form 19)” from the “I want to apply for” drop-down menu.
Step 6: Enter the details asked next in the form.
Step 7: Upload scanned copy of cheque or passbook.
Step 8: Enter your mobile number and Aadhaar. Get your Aadhaar verified with OTP.
Step 9: Click on “Submit Claim” to complete the process of Form 19 claim submission.
Components of Form 19
If you’re going with the offline mode, you can either get the form physically from your nearby EPFO office or download the same from EPFO website.
There are three sections of Form 19 as stated below:
1st Section: EPF Member Details (Claimant)
It includes details like the name of the member, father’s & husband’s name, company details, PF account number, UAN, date of joining and leaving service, purpose of leaving (if not retirement), PAN, mode of payment, etc.

There are 4 more sub-sections in this part of the form.
2nd Section: Advance Stamp Receipt
This is to be filled only when the mode of payment is via cheque. Please make sure that if it is via NEFT or any other electronic mode, this section must not be filled.

3rd Section: For Use in Cash Section

Documents Required with Form 19
The following documents and/or details must be provided to EPFO at the time of submitting EPF form 19:
- PAN
- Copy of Cheque or Passbook
- UAN
- PF Account Number
- Re 1 Stamp (with Advance Stamp Receipt)
Before Submitting Form 19
Before you settle your PF account finally by submitting Form 19, please make sure that the following points are checked:
- Your UAN must be linked to Aadhaar
