With the government introducing BHIM App for the Indian citizens, several banks have come up with their unique versions of Unified Payment Interface (UPI). The unique versions of UPI help the individuals to send and receive money from someone via UPI. State Bank of India has introduced its SBI UPI Pay App by the name called BHIM SBI Pay to offer easy transfer of funds for the citizens across the country.
What is BHIM SBI UPI Pay?
SBI recently launched its own version of UPI by the name BHIM SBI UPI Pay App wherein one can use this app to transfer funds to someone and can make bill payments easily. This app is available at both Apple Store and Google Play Store and can be easily downloaded on iOS and Android devices. In addition, a non-SBI account holder can also download the SBI UPI PAY app but he/she has to meet-up one condition with SBI. The condition is that individual should have at least one bank account and the mobile number should be linked to that bank account.
How to Download and Install BHIM SBI Pay App?
The process to download SBI UPI Pay is quite easy and simple. All you need to follow the below mentioned steps for BHIM SBI UPI App download-
Step 1: Visit the Google Play Store/ Apple Store and search for BHIM SBI Pay
Step 2: Download the app on your device
Step 3: Now complete the steps for Registration
Step 4: Make sure you have linked your mobile number with your bank account
Step 5: Now you are ready to make payments
How to Use SBI Mobile Pay?
BHIM SBI Pay Registration
After downloading the BHIM SBI App, individuals are required to get registered with SBI UPI App in order to process any transaction. Follow the below mentioned steps to perform the same-
Step 1: Launch the app
Step 2: Proceed with SMS-based mobile verification
Step 3: Choose your preferred VPA
Step 4: Enter your Name and Email ID
Step 5: Answer the security questions to proceed
Step 6: Confirm the details and click ‘Next’ button.
Step 7: Select your bank account and click on ‘Register’ button
Generating Virtual Payment Address (VPA)
After registration, one can generate their Virtual Payment Address through the steps mentioned below-
Step 1: Launch the App
Step 2: A confirmation message will be sent from your phone for registration
Step 3: Click ‘Yes’ and a new registration page will be displayed
Step 4: Enter the details such as Name, Email, Security Question, Security Answers, etc.
Step 5: Now set your preferred VPA or you can choose from the suggested VPA and then click ‘Submit’
How to Send Money Through SBI UPI Pay App?
Once you have completed the registration, you can send money to someone using the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Open the SBI UPI App and enter your BHIM SBI Pay Login credentials.
Step 2: Click ‘Payment’
Step 3: Now you select the concerned account you want to send money from the drop-down menu lists.
Step 4: Now select the payee whom you want to send money. You can also enter the VPA or the bank details to proceed further.
Step 5: Enter the amount and remarks. Click ‘Pay’.
Step 6: Now enter your correct mPIN
Step 7: Now your transfer will be successful and you will receive notification for the same.
How to Receive Money Through BHIM SBI UPI Pay App?
Individuals can request money from someone through SBI UPI Pay. For this, you are required to share your VPA so that sender the transfer the amount.
Step 1: Set one bank account of yours as a default account for receiving payments from someone.
Step 2: To receive funds, login BHIM SBI Pay and click ‘Collect’ tab
Step 3: Enter the VPA of the person after using the mPIN and enter the amount you want to receive from the person.
Step 4: Once the request s accepted by the sender, you will receive the notification of the same.
BHIM SBI Pay Transaction Limit
BHIM SBI Pay App can certain transactions limit to perform any fund transfers. Below given are the upper transaction limits for sending and requesting money.
- For first transaction after setting/resetting UPI PIN maximum amount will be Rs.5,000/- and cumulative amount in a day will be Rs.5,000/- for the first 24 hours.
- After 24 hours per transaction and per day limit is Rs.1, 00,000/- in BHIM SBI Pay, at present.
- You can do a maximum number of 10 transactions in 24 hours per account within the Rs.1,00,000/- limit
