Level 1

The regional/zonal manager’s name and address must be posted at each branch. Within ten working days after receiving the complaint, the regional/zonal manager must resolve it.
Level 3
The complainant can escalate the complaint to the Principal Nodal Officer for redress of grievances if they are not satisfied with the response they received at level 2 or if the issue is not resolved within the allotted time frame. Within 10 working days of the date of receipt, the Principal Nodal Officer must escalate the complaint.
Level 4
The consumer may turn to the Banking Ombudsman designated by the RBI if he is dissatisfied with the bank’s answer to his complaint or if he does not hear from the bank within 30 days of filing it. The name and contact information of the Banking Ombudsman whose jurisdiction the bank branch comes under should be posted in each branch. The Banking Ombudsman Scheme should be made visible on the bank’s website as well. If the Ombudsman issues an award and the bank does not have any justification for an appeal, they must abide by the decision within 30 days of the complaint receiving the written acceptance of the award.
