FASTag complaints comprise issues related to the digital toll collection system in the country. This may be of any nature including incorrect charges, tag activation, malfunctioning tags, etc. Resolving these issues is crucial for smooth and efficient toll collection on Indian highways. FASTag complaints resolution will benefit both the FASTag users and the transportation authorities.
What is FASTag?
FASTag, an RFID technology introduced by the Indian government in October 2017 under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, aims to address various challenges faced by both drivers and the nation. Research by the World Bank highlights an annual loss of six billion USD in India due to road congestion, primarily caused by fuel wastage and human resource depletion at toll plazas. Beyond the economic impact, toll plazas also contribute significantly to air pollution, particularly in cities like Delhi. FASTag implementation in India seeks to mitigate emissions by reducing vehicle idling at toll booths.
What to do if money is incorrectly deducted from a FASTag Account?
Every FASTag sticker will have the customer care number of the issuer. In case of incorrect deduction from a FASTag account, you can call the customer care number of the FASTag issuer from your registered mobile number and lodge a FASTag complaint. The issuer will look into the matter and credit the excess amount collected to your FASTag account.
You can also lodge a complaint through the FASTag portal. Follow the process to register the complaint.
- Register on the FASTag portal, creating a user ID and password.
