With the insistence of FasTag for toll payments by the Government of India, all vehicles mandatorily have to purchase and stick the tag to the windshield of their vehicle for toll payments. If you have not yet purchased a FasTag for your car, you do it now.
Otherwise, you may find it difficult to pass a toll plaza. Managing and monitoring the FasTag is as important as having one. This article gives you an overview of the importance of a FasTag statement and how to download it.
Mere purchasing of a FasTag is not sufficient. You will have to manage the tag as well efficiently. Moreso, if you are a frequent traveller and regularly pass through toll plazas. The transaction at the toll plaza is done within seconds and even before you realise the amount you have paid you will be ready to go. SMS notifications are sent for individual toll transactions but you cannot rely on these notifications for consolidating the expenses. Here is where the need for a FasTag statement arises.
Your monthly FasTag statement serves as a comprehensive record of all toll payments debited from your FASTag account. Within this statement, you will discover crucial specifics such as the deducted amounts, timestamps of deductions, and the corresponding toll booth locations. While text message notifications alert you to individual deductions, relying solely on these notifications can be insufficient for comprehensive transaction tracking. Consequently, a FasTag statement consolidates all your toll payment data into one easily accessible document, simplifying the process of monitoring your FASTag balance and recharging as needed.
You can download the FasTag Statement online through the NHAI website or the issuer bank website. The procedure for drawing the FasTag Statement is given below:

FasTag has an array of advantages like cashless payments, saving time and fuel, etc. If you are navigating through toll plazas every day, managing your FasTag account is also important to understand if the right toll has been deducted at every toll plaza. A FasTag statement will give you a complete overview of your transactions for a defined period. However, downloading the statement onto your device provides additional advantages as given below
- Having the FasTag statement on your device allows you to access it at any time even without an internet connection.
- Downloading the statement does not incur any cost.
